As krone.at , the Tyrolean wanted to buy gold on the Internet and fell on the stitch of criminals, which she moved abroad for several transfers. Initially, the injured party was directed to a link via an advertisement, where she left her phone number and email address. Between mid -November and early December she contacted the fraudsters several times.
The investigators found that the perpetrators persuaded the woman to acquire gold to a foreign account with the promise to acquire gold. But they went even further: the woman was made to set up a cryptocurrency account and allowed the crooks to access their computer for "support".
