Fire brigade Maria Rojach celebrates 120 years of use and community!
The volunteer fire brigade (FF) Maria Rojach is a real community institute that looks back on more than 120 years of history and has established itself as a central pillar of security in the St. Andrä region. The fire brigade currently has 59 members, including 13 young fire brigade candidates. This committed group is not only known for its operational readiness, but also for the strong cohesion that it maintains within her group. Manuel Faullant, who has been active for 12 years and has taken command this year, emphasizes the importance of camaraderie: "Our fire brigade is more than just a team of operations - it is a big family." The fire brigade is used in 40 to 50 missions annually, with technical operations and natural disasters such as storms and floods increase, as faullant reports.
An important step for the FF Maria Rojach is the purchase of a new vehicle, an RLFA 2000, which is equipped with the latest equipment, including a ripper and a spreader. This latest vehicle will expand the fire department of the fire brigade compared to beforehand and enable a faster reaction in traffic accidents. The official presentation of the vehicle will take place on Monday, December 23, at 6 p.m. as part of the peace light campaign, in which the community is invited to look at the new vehicle and to pick up the peace light, as reported.
past and outlook of the fire brigade
The Maria Rojach fire brigade has reached many milestones in its long history. Since its foundation in 1902, she has continued to develop. Daniel Gönitzer, who has been a member since 2008 and has been commander since 2021, speaks of the impressive chronicle of the fire brigade. After the 120th anniversary, a focus is on the offspring in order to strengthen the commitment to the future across generational security, as [] also states. The youth fire brigade is particularly important, and the first participation in competitions is pending. The entire fire brigade will remain active at events such as the traditional fire brigade festival and the solemn consecration of its new vehicles, which will take place next year.
