Ceremonial book reading: 30 years of Rostock Seaawolves in the spotlight!
Don-Bosco-Schule, Rostock, Deutschland - In 2024, the Rostock Seawolves e.V. celebrates an important anniversary: 30 years of basketball story! The long -time press spokesman Thomas Käckmeister took this as an opportunity to write a comprehensive chronicle of the association, which is recorded in the book "30 years of Rostock Seaawolves". On Tuesday evening there was a special book reading in the Don Bosco School, in which Cackground master addressed the highlights from three decades of club history. Around 100 guests, including numerous key figures from the Rostock basketball environment, were present to celebrate this special moment. Surprise guests such as the former player André Jürgens and the Minister of Sports of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Stefanie Drese, shared their personal stories and experiences that enriched the evening emotionally.

In a moving reading, the exciting development of the largest basketball club in Germany came to life. Ulf Gülzow, the oldest active member of the association, and Andrea Hoferichter, former player of the 2nd DBBL, spoke about the beginnings and the importance of women's basketball. Tobias Blanck, sports reporter from NDR1 Radio MV, and SID-Marlon Theis, captain of the Seawolves professionals, also contributed to the festive atmosphere with their experiences. At the end of the evening, Käckenmeister expressed his gratitude: "The book reading was the last stage on the way of the many events related to the 30th anniversary. It was a special evening with moving emotions and many glossy eyes." The book now offers fans the opportunity to deal intensively with the impressive history of the club.
At the same time, the Rostock History Association announced the latest edition of the "Contributions to the History of the City of Rostock" in its circular letter and informs about upcoming events. Members receive the newsletter regularly and can find out more about past and future activities. The invitation to the next general meeting is also included.
