Climate funding in danger? Greens warn of the future again!

Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland - The Federal Government's current plans for evaluating climate and energy promotions encounter significant resistance on the part of the Greens. Leonore Gewessler, deputy club chairwoman and climate protection spokeswoman for the Greens, expressed her concern and warned of a step backwards in climate policy. She emphasizes that under the pretext of evaluation may be reduced in the funding for climate -friendly technologies, which would have serious consequences for the climate future. Gewessler emphasized that 250,000 households have successfully exchanged their fossil heating for environmentally friendly alternatives in recent years.

The Greens call for a clear commitment to the need for the need for existing subsidies and their effects, but without braking out without the expansion of clean energies. "Anyone who shortens here saves the future," warns Gewessler and makes it clear that the funding is a central investment engine for the domestic economy. Roads in this area could not only negatively influence the order situation, but also endanger jobs.

Promotion of efficient buildings

In parallel to the political debates, there is the federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG), which aims to support the renovation of buildings. These measures are not only a step to reduce energy costs, but also actively contribute to climate protection. The continuation of the BEG and the reforming of the individual measures from 2025 are secured, as the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) confirms. Applications for efficient individual measures can still be submitted to the BAFA to optimize the necessary building technology.

As reported by the BAFA, structure consist of three sub -programs: BEG WG for residential buildings, BEG NWG for non -residential buildings and BEG EM for individual measures. Not only homeowners, but also apartment owners, companies, companies and municipalities are eligible to apply. In order to maximize efficiency, it is necessary for certain measures to consult an energy efficiency expert who creates a technical project description.

EU climate goals in focus

The context of national and local initiatives is closely linked to European climate policy. The EU pursues the goal of weakening the effects of climate change and reducing climate -damaging activities, which is also supported internationally by agreements such as the Paris Agreement. According to the Federal Environment Agency, the proportion of greenhouse gas emissions in the EU fell by 2020, whereby the energy sector is about 26% of emissions, while building technology also makes a significant contribution.

In order to counter the challenges of climate change, the EU has developed long-term strategies to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. These objectives are supported by various legislative proposals, such as the "Fit for 55" package, which includes measures to reduce emissions by 2030. At the moment it shows that targeted investments in climate protection and efficiency are necessary at both national and European level in order not to endanger the progress in recent years.

The persistent discussion about the funding in Austria is part of a larger European climate protection framework and illustrates the urgency of measures to achieve the climate goals. The current political decisions could be crucial for whether progress is preserved or whether it is threatened with regression in climate and energy policy.
