Fight against injustice: Emperor demands more fairer pension adjustment!
The situation around the pension adjustments and the coalition negotiations in Carinthia has caused excitement in the past few days. Governor Peter Kaiser vehemently criticized the Federal Government, which was introduced by the Federal Government and is unjustly perceived, criticized the inflation adjustments for pensioners. According to the Kaiser, fairness for over a hundred thousand pensioners is put to the test. Because while those who retire in January receive 100 percent of inflation compensation, the amount for December pensioners is reduced to zero percent. "This is nothing more than a robbery by the brids of our older generation," said Kaiser. He urged the Federal Government to enact a law urgently in order to put an end to this "sky -screaming injustice", as well as ktn.gv.at reported.
In this context, the failed coalition negotiations were also discussed. Kaiser commented on the need for shared solutions to cope with the current financial challenges. "The measures now proposed - such as increasing sales tax and cuts in the references of civil servants - are not portable," said Kaiser. He had hoped that a three-way coalition could be the solution, but this could no longer be implemented.
Team Carinthia Chief Gerhard Köfer emphasized that the failure of the negotiations was no surprise. He announced that a strong opposition is needed in these times of crisis to ensure the agreement in financial and pension policy. Köfer is convinced that a black and red government is doomed to fail because the ability to cooperate between the partners is not given. As a possible solution, he sees a blue-black coalition, but the people acting would also have to be checked and replaced if necessary, as reported by ORF Carinthia
