Focus on rural interests: New government program presented!
The IGBO welcomes the latest government program of the upcoming federal government with great satisfaction, especially the personnel offensive in the area of state defense. This measure is considered necessary by the IGBO in order to counteract the emigration of highly qualified professional officers. The urgency of the implementation of these measures is evident to keep the qualified specialists in the Federal Army, such as APA-OTS reported . The IGBO sees this a fundamental prerequisite for the well -being of the Republic of Austria.
At the same time, the AGÖ's “government program” was presented in Vienna, a trade union merger from agriculture, whose representatives, including the milk farmer Martina Mittermayr and poultry manufacturer Manfred Muhr, present central problems and proposed solutions. Together with Managing Director Johann Konrad, the idea went in a clear setting: Over 2,000 ideas were summarized for 54 concrete suggestions that concentrate on three main points. This includes the reduction of bureaucracy, ensuring fair market conditions for agricultural products and the improvement of income on the farms. Like farmer-media reported , a "farmership billion" is also stimulated that should provide investment funds in the agricultural economy via the upcoming GAP periods.
call to politics
The program should reach all parties represented in parliament as possible to ensure that farmers' concerns remain on the political table and cannot be ignored. The AGÖ will follow exactly which of the proposals and has already indicated that protest measures could follow if this is not the case. The challenges for agriculture are complex and require a central and coordinated approach to find sustainable solutions.
