Brandenburg's companies demand: How we save the economy in 2025!
Companies in Brandenburg are calling for better investment conditions while they are dealing with the challenges of the ongoing economic crisis. André Sinanian, board member of the district group Potsdam of the Berlin-Brandenburg business association (UVB), expressed these claims on the New Year's reception, which attracted around 150 guests from companies, politics, science and media, including Prime Minister Dr. Dietmar Woidke.
According to Sinanian, important factors for a stronger attractiveness of the location are primarily affordable, environmentally friendly energy, a reduction in bureaucracy and increased investments in education, research and digitization. He also sees the need for a strategy to attract more specialists and promote targeted immigration. Sinanian emphasized that party -political discussions should be put back in order to develop effective solutions for companies and jobs. In 2025 he described the potential year of the new beginning if the right decisions are made.Woidke's support for companies

It is also positive that over half of the relevant patents come from Germany.
In order to strengthen competitiveness in the long term, various measures are under discussion, such as the abolition of the EEG surcharge and the reduction in European electricity tax. A bureaucracy relief law is announced for 2025, but there is skepticism with regard to its effectiveness.
These developments underline the urgent need for political and economic measures to secure the competitiveness of Germany in a changing global market, such as Deutschlandfunk reported.
The parallel discussion about the loosening of the debt brake to promote important investments also shows the high need for action, while experts have different opinions on the future of this policy. The support of the state government for the concerns in Brandenburg could make an important contribution to improving the situation, as Uvb
