On Monday morning, November 11, 2024, at 6:21 a.m., Hünxe became the setting for a dramatic traffic accident! At the Weseler Straße and Sternweg intersection, it crashed when a 40-year-old taxi driver from Wesel disregarded the right of 55-year-old truck driver from Bocholt. While the taxi driver intended to cross Weseler Straße, there was a serious collision in the intersection!

The impact was violent: the taxi driver suffered serious injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the police emphasize that his danger to life has now been excluded. The truck driver, on the other hand, was not injured in the accident, which is a little luck in the middle of the chaos.
