Goslar, Deutschland - goslar (ots)
In an exciting new chapter for the district of Goslar, 29 energetic teen scouts start service! These pupils have freshly trained at three schools-the Adolf Grimme Comprehensive School in Oker, the Ratsgymnasium in Goslar and the high school at the Deilich in Bad Harzburg-and will now support their classmates. The teen scout project, founded in 2016, has already made over 350 students fit for this honorable task!
The challenges of the teen scouts
Already on the first day of training, the new team members felt the pulse of this exciting challenge. They were confronted with questions in a playful way: "What do a heart, a patch and a pack of handkerchiefs have in common?" Such questions are just the beginning, because empathy, listening and helpfulness are the basics for their future use. The 12- to 15-year-olds will soon be a trusting contact for their classmates and provide support for homework or integrating new students- a direct contribution to a better school climate!
Special attention is paid to strengthening conflict ability and civil courage. Through role-playing games and group dynamics, the teen scouts learn how important it is to keep and actively help and actively help even in difficult situations. Your teachers are at your side as mentors and support you in starting your role as a teen scout.
a solemn conclusion
The three-day training culminated in a ceremonial handover of documents, in which the proud new teen scouts received their well-deserved certificates. The training was directed by a dedicated team of experts who would like to ensure that the teen scouts are prepared for their new tasks as best as possible. Under the direction of Claudia Hopp and Stephani Gobernack and the teachers, the young people now have the tools to not only support their classmates, but also to actively shape the school environment.
