Stern singers bring children's rights and joy to the police inspection!

Around the three-king day are the star singers in Germany again to bring the blessing of Christmas and to collect donations for the children's mission work "Die Sternsinger". This year's motto of the campaign is: "Stern singing for children's rights".

In Idar-Oberstein, three girls visited, disguised as "Heimte three kings", a police department. Accompanied by their teachers, they brought the blessing "20*C+M+B+25" at the main entrance of the office, which means "Christus Mansionem Benedicat" - Christ blessed this house. The girls wore crowns and royal robes and recalled the three kings who came to the crib to the child of Jesus.

During their visit, the star singers had the opportunity to visit the police's guard. The great interest and the joy of visiting were noticeable on both sides. After the stay, the girls not only received a small donation, but also sweets as a thank you for their visit.

The star singers are moving from house to house around the turn of the year to collect money for children and adolescents in poor countries. Archbishop Bentz spoke in the opening service in the Paderborn cathedral about the difficult situation of many children and emphasized how important it is to protect their dignity and strengthen their rights. The president of the children's mission "Die Sternsinger", Pastor Dirk Bingener, pointed out the persistent commitment of the star singers to protect the rights of the children.

This year is still terrifyingly affected worldwide: 250 million children, especially girls, have no access to education and 160 million children have to work under exploitial conditions. In order to set an example, the Sternsinger are also on the road in the State Chancellery in Dresden and other cities to bring the blessing to the houses and apartments, as is reported on January 6, 2025 from the dioceses of Dresden-Meißen and Görlitz.
