A huge investment thrust for schools in the Northeim district is imminent! The district council has decided to put an incredible 13.5 million euros in the renovation and expansion of its educational institutions in 2025 and 2026. This decision is a clear signal for the future of the students and the quality of education in the region!

The vocational schools (BBS) in Einbeck and Northeim are the focus of this massive financial support. For the BBS Einbeck, 370,000 euros are already planned for immediate renovation measures, while an additional 250,000 euros are available for planning further work. The total costs for the renovation of House 2 amount to impressive 2.28 million euros! A building from the 1960s, which urgently needs to be modernized in order to meet the requirements of contemporary training. Here, trainees from all over Germany are taught in plant technology - a nationwide unique location!

But that's not all! The BBS 2 in Northeim also benefits from this generous funding with a total of 2.35 million euros for the renovation of facades, ventilation systems and heaters. Other schools in the district also receive urgently needed funds: The Corvinianum grammar school receives 651,000 euros for maintenance work, while the Northeim high school receives 390,000 euros for fire protection renovations. The list of investments is long and shows that the district is determined to raise the educational infrastructure to a new level!

Another exciting aspect: The district expects the number of pupils from 8080 to 8560 to the school year 2028/29. This illustrates the urgency of these renovation measures in order to meet the needs of a growing student body. While some schools are stagnating or experiencing a slight decline, the trend overall is clear: Education in the Northeim district is very important!
