Vegetable campaign in the Innviertel: Schools and kindergartens finally!
The social enterprise Acker Austria has launched the “Ackern in the Innviertel” project and is acting for schools and kindergartens in the Leader regions Oberinnviertel-Mattigtal, in the middle of the Innviertel and Sauwald Pramtal. This innovative educational project promotes the understanding of sustainable agriculture with the programs for schools and fields for kindergartens. According to Meinverzirk , the facilities are to be supported when creating a vegetable secker, with the children with practical experience, with over 30 different types of vegetables to deal with.
The three -year program not only offers the learning locations access to a child -friendly cultivation plan, but also includes accompanying the so -called field coaches. In addition, the participants benefit from over 600 prepared teaching units on a digital learning platform, which makes learning on the field exciting and varied. Since the project has been successfully implemented in over 1,800 learning locations in the DACH region in recent years, Acker Austria sees great potential to anchor sustainable education in the Innviertel, as Acker.co emphasizes.
a network for sustainable development
The initiative creates a network that not only organizes workshops on the topics of sustainable nutrition and agriculture, but also enables excursions and external workshops for the participating institutions. This extensive support aims to promote sustainable practices and a deeper understanding of the origin of our food. "The exchange and the common experience represent great added value," emphasized the responsible leader managers of the Innviertel.
Another strong partner in this project is the Sparkasse Upper Austria, which supports the project financially and thus significantly promotes its implementation. For interested schools and kindergartens, there is the possibility to register via the website vegetable fields.at and Ackerracker.at or directly from Hanna Edelmann at h.edelmann@acker.co.
