A storm of changes brews itself in the Osterholz district! The planned introduction of an all -day claim for elementary school students from August 2026 is excited by the municipal school authorities. Although the Ministry of Culture has not yet published a binding decree, the town halls are alerted. Parents of first graders can soon hope for a school offer until 4 p.m., but the challenges are huge! From 2029, all day in all four elementary school years should become a reality. But where does the necessary staff come from? And where should all the children be accommodated?

Heike Schumacher, the district's head of the district, is optimistic. "I am confident, even if it may not run perfectly at the beginning," she explains. Many primary schools already offer all -day offers, but the financial means are often limited. Registration takes place voluntarily, but binding for a half of the year. In order to master the challenges, you even think about the merging of locations - an innovative solution to bundle resources and secure the quality of the care.

But the logistical and pedagogical requirements are enormous! A three-hour school day for six to ten year olds requires a new structure that cleverly combines phases of tension and relaxation. The district, which does not run a primary school itself, wants to help the municipalities to develop individual all -day concepts. The "Best Education" initiative has already mobilized 25 out of 37 schools in the district to improve the quality of education. In the past few months, several events have already taken place to clarify the requirements and exchange experiences. The pressure increases and the schools have to adapt quickly!

The next steps are crucial: in March it will continue to work on the room and process designs. The initiative offers tailor -made training for schools and supports the development of specialists who can deal with challenging behavior. The clock ticks and the all -day entitlement is just around the corner - the municipalities have to act now!
