Cartoons for democracy: Humor in Holzminden inspires daycare centers!

The hiking exhibition "Living Diversity and Democracy" draws the eyes in the Holzminden district with the captivating cartoons by the artist Renate Alf! From now until November 25, 2024, the exhibition not only represents an exciting perspective on the topics of diversity, democracy and children's rights, but also does so in a humorous and appealing way.

The cooperation between the Lower Saxony Institute for Early Children's Education and Development (NIFBE), the district college Holzminden and the daycare specialist advice from the Holzminden district has launched this initiative. Renate Alf, an experienced cartoonist, aims to illuminate the joys and challenges of everyday daycare life illuminating and pointed. Your cartoons invite you to think about central topics of childhood education - and all with a wink!

The illustrator, who has mastered the cartoon trade since 1983, combines passion and wit in her drawings. Born in Göttingen and trained in biology and French, she lives in Weimar today and now has four adult children. Your works not only offer entertainment, but also deeper insights into the interaction of children, parents and specialists in the daycare sector.

The exhibition is free and can be visited in the district college in Holzminden at Braunschweiger Straße 8 during the regular opening hours. Interested visitors are asked to report in room 0.95 on site. A must for everyone who is interested in the cornerstones of early childhood education!
