Gmünd becomes child -friendly: workshops show great citizen participation!

Gmünd, Österreich - On March 11, 2025, the second workshop started as part of the project to the family -friendly community in Gmünd. This project aims to develop the city into an even better place to live and live for families. The active participation of the citizens is a central part of this project, which has already been supported by a comprehensive public survey.

From October 2024 to February 2025, this survey took place via the Gmündner city news and the official homepage of the municipality. Among other things, 44 students from the Gmünd middle school took part in the survey, which shows the relevance and commitment of the younger generation in the design of their surroundings. The results of these surveys were comprehensively analyzed and discussed in the second workshop.

The aim of these events is to define concrete measures to implement a target agreement for a family -friendly community. This is done in a participatory process in which the opinions and ideas of the citizens are heard. The great interest of the population in the city design, which is shown in the numerous feedback.

Due to the positive response from the Gmünd elementary school, a third workshop was launched, which took place on March 25, 2025. This workshop focused specifically on the ideas and suggestions of the elementary school students. Numerous drawings and 70 additional questionnaires of the folk students were evaluated and discussed here. These contributions flow directly into the measures that are to be included in the target agreement.

The target agreement represents a comprehensive plan of measures that will be presented to the local council for decision -making. The implementation of these measures aimed at by the municipality should take place within the next three years, which is a realistic time frame. Family and work emphasizes that after successful implementation, an external certification body checks the measures. In the event of a positive assessment, the municipality receives a state quality sign from the Federal Ministry.

This quality mark has far -reaching advantages: it increases the community's attraction as a livable and economically successful place and offers a noticeable location advantage. In particular, it should promote the settlement of families with children and send a positive signal beyond the municipal boundaries.

Through these activities and the continuous exchange with the population, Gmünd clearly positions himself on the way to a real family -friendly community. Those responsible are optimistic that the upcoming measures will benefit both the citizens and the entire community.
