The “German Starter” program of the youth migration service (JMD) is aimed at refugees and migrants who want to learn the German language in Germany. "It is essential that young people learn the language as soon as possible," emphasizes Elisabeth Schneider, while Dr. Sepideh Gerich emphasizes the importance of integration for society.

In addition to the language courses, the JMD offers preventive offers to strengthen democratic values ​​among young people. Together with partner schools in Trier and Wittlich, the “Respect Coaches” program is implemented, which is supposed to protect young people from radicalization.
