Rotary Club Schärding collects 4,000 euros for Rotkreuz-Markt!

The Rotary Club Schärding collected impressive 4,000 euros on October 19, 2024 with a benefit flea market in favor of the Red Cross Market in Schärding. The event offered a colorful selection of goods, including clothing for women, men and children, shoes, toys and books. The President of the Rotary Club, Christine Lechner, handed over the collected donations to Florian Kurz, the district manager of the Red Cross, and market manager Gerhard Getzendorfer together with Ekkehard Oberhammer. Before, on July 1, 2024, Karl Weidlinger took over the presidency of the Rotary Club Schärding from Bernhard Schuster. Under Schuster's leadership, the club has collected significant means in recent years, which, among other things, benefited from child psychiatry in Grieskirchen and the Schärding Rotkreuzmarkt. The club currently has 46 members, including nine women, and remains active in various social projects. In addition, the club financed the establishment of a self -sufficient power supply for the St. Joseph's Hospital in Kitgum, Uganda. These international efforts illustrate the efforts of the Rotary Club to contribute positively to the global community, as well as noted.
