Zweibrücken kidnapped in 'Wilde Welten' - Experience nature 2025!
The climate protection and sustainability initiative ZW-NABENTION has presented its program for 2025, which is under the annual motto "Wilde Worlds". The initiative, which has been active for five years, invites the population with monthly events to discover nature on its own front door. The focus was already on the motto "water" in 2023, and the first event for the new year will be a hike in the Hengstbach Forest on January 18. This is led by Theo Ringeisen and starts at 10 a.m. in the Kugelfanghütte car park.
In the further course of the year, numerous activities are planned, including a garbage collection campaign in February, the construction of a idelic house on a orchard in March, and a climate walk through Zweibrücken in April, led by Anne-Lorraine Ring. The other highlights include a sustainability day in the city library in May, a wild herb cooking course in June, as well as a view of nature -designed gardens in July. In August there is a market breakfast on Alexanderplatz, followed by a child -friendly discovery of the world of bees in September. October brings a night hike for families, while in November a lecture by Dieter Wallach on sustainability is on the program. The end of the year is an exhibition of the works of children of the youth art school that were created with natural materials. Registration is required for some events, detailed information and dates are at Rheinpfalz.de Available.
political commitment of young people
In parallel to these developments, a current study shows that a majority of young people are politically interested and recognizes environmental and climate protection as elementary social tasks. Many of these young people are ready to get involved, but need extensive knowledge of decision -making processes and skills in order to effectively become active. However, existing educational programs often promote political engagement, which is why actors in education for sustainable development (BNE) have demanded that the political aspect in education is emphasized.Specifically, the anu supports young people in acquiring their skills for political engagement and gaining experience in political action. A less than a year of workshop entitled "Act politically - but how?!" has already been carried out eight times in cooperation with environmental education centers (UBZ) and young people between the ages of 14 and 25. The aim is to bring examples of political commitment and the associated decision -making processes as well as political options for action to the participants. The results of this workshop have been incorporated into the planning of a publicly accessible learning material set, which is presented in two online events. The project period comprises several phases, whereby the second phase lasts from April 2024 to December 2025, in which a specialist day for multipliers of the ESD is to be carried out.
