In the district of Osterholz there are exciting developments in wind energy! The extensive evaluation of the citizens' inquiries and statements on wind energy expansion has been completed. According to the responsible department of Dominik Vinbruck, the district policy will examine the feedback from citizens, authorities and associations in the coming months. This could take six months by the next meeting of the planning committee on March 12, 2025. If the results are not available in time, the next opportunity for advice will take place on June 4, 2025. In addition, the district approved the expansion of the Riebereig wind farm, which comprises the construction of a total of seventeen new wind turbines. The new wind turbines will reach a total height of 186.5 meters with a rotor diameter of 101 meters and are to generate around 114 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually.
