Wind power expansion in the Osterholz district: Citizens' participation and new facilities!
In the district of Osterholz there are exciting developments in wind energy! The extensive evaluation of the citizens' inquiries and statements on wind energy expansion has been completed. According to the responsible department of Dominik Vinbruck, the district policy will examine the feedback from citizens, authorities and associations in the coming months. This could take six months by the next meeting of the planning committee on March 12, 2025. If the results are not available in time, the next opportunity for advice will take place on June 4, 2025. The aim is to take the entries into account and to develop well -founded decision -making proposals for how the wind energy relevant concerns can be prioritized, such as Weser-Kurier reported.
In addition, the district approved the expansion of the Riebereig wind farm, which comprises the construction of a total of seventeen new wind turbines. These are to be built north of the village of Meyenburg and south of the Aschwarden flood ditch. The construction is realized by an investment effort of around 90.1 million euros. The new wind turbines will reach a total height of 186.5 meters with a rotor diameter of 101 meters and are to generate around 114 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. This corresponds to the consumption of around 32,500 households, so that the wind farm can make a significant contribution to energy supply in the district area. The district has taken care that all legal protection claims of the residents remain preserved, such as Dauslated.
