Porsche-Berg-Tunnel: Dispute over secret entrance in Salzburg broke out!
Linzergasse, 5020 Salzburg, Österreich - In Salzburg, the construction of a spectacular car tunnel for the Porsche family is promoted. As reported by ORF Salzburg , a contract between Porsche and the city of Salzburg was concluded in March to enable access to a costly property by a 500 meter long tunnel. This tunnel leads through the mountain and bypasses the steep and often icy driveway to the Felix gate. At the end of the tunnel, parking spaces for nine vehicles are planned. Legally, the project, which is realized under the property of Porsche, do not stand in the way. Critics, in particular the citizen list, express concerns about the arbitrary approval of the former mayor Harald Preuner, who made this decision in 2024 without informing the local council.
The fact that a one -time fee of 40,000 euros was paid to the city for the entrance to this tunnel, which is owned by the city. The citizen list criticizes this sum as inappropriate and may plan to switch on the control office in order to check the procedure more precisely. Ingeborg Haller, the club chairman of the citizen list, emphasized that original plans for a lift from Glockengasse were not related to the tunnel. The discussion about the accessibility of the branch villa for the public, which was initiated under the direction of the owner, no longer seems to be on the agenda.
a paradise for car fans
