Niddatal defies finance pressure: Double budget brings stability and planning security!

In a remarkable meeting of the city council, Mayor Michael Hahn (CDU) celebrated the approval of the double budget 2025/26 for Niddatal. This marks a "milestone for the future of Niddatal", since the city is now able to set up its household without tax increases, which was rewarded by many groups with broad approval while the SPD contained. Hahn emphasized that the city will concentrate on its mandatory tasks in the coming years, which will also bring advantages for the citizens through stable taxes and moderate fee adjustments. The current rate for property tax A is now 395 percent, for property tax B 480 percent, while the trade tax remains at 380 percent, as from fnp reported.

Financial stability and outlook on investments

Hahn also announced that a slight surplus for both household years, forecast to 44,000 and 87,000 euros, can be expected. Financial stability is supported by the sale of Öcopfunkt, which are used for measures such as the construction of a fire station and the expansion of daycare centers. Nevertheless, there are critical voices, especially from the SPD, which expressed concerns about the long -term financial load -bearing capacity of the budget. This demand could influence potential investments and developments, while Hahn continues to point out that the administration works efficiently and offers the city a positive planning horizon.
