Döbeln is investing 7.1 million euros in new water pipes 2025!

Dead. Over 7 million euros will be picked up to bring the water infrastructure up to scratch. This is an increase compared to the 6.4 million euros, which have already been invested by the end of November this year. A clear step into the future of water supply!

"We expect an annual surplus of 611,000 euros", Tina Stroisch, announced the head of communication of the Water Association. This positive forecast will increase the equity ratio and enable the association to continue to invest vigorously in the infrastructure. Four significant construction projects in the Döbeln region have already been completed this year, including the renewal of drinking water pipes in Roßwein and Meila.

Investments in the future

Another highlight is the construction of the north-south-road, a future-oriented project to improve drinking water supply. In 2025, 1.8 million euros are to be invested. The first construction phases are already in full swing, and the goal is clear: the water quality in the Döbelner region is to be significantly improved by mixing with softer water from the north.

But that's not all! In order to ensure the stability of the water network, the water association plans to buy 90 system separators. These special valves are crucial to prevent returns and secure drinking water quality. Another step to optimize the water supply in the region and to ensure the security of the citizens!
