Nuclear power in the upswing: China's plans for modern reactors reveal!
China - Atomic energy experiences a real boom in China! The People's Republic plans to massively expand its core reactors in the coming years. According to the information from Krone , Generation IV is particularly promoted by reactors to reach the climate goals. More than a dozen countries have been working on developing new and improved nuclear reactors for 25 years, and can look back on 56 reactors in operation.
Currently there are 25 reactor blocks under construction and twelve others have been approved, as the comprehensive list of nuclear reactors in the People's Republic of China shows ( wikipedia ). For example, the first commercially used reactor was put into operation in 1991 and by 2021 the nuclear energy had already had a share of around 5 percent in the overall current generation in China. These figures illustrate the massive growth and plans in the nuclear energy sector, which is becoming increasingly important in view of the global energy requirements and the climate goals.
