Wonderful crib path in Essen: 16 stations full of creativity!

In the downtown Essen, visitors can expect an enchanting nativity scene with 16 stations this year. The event, which is organized from , shows a wide range of cribs from traditional handicrafts to innovative DIY creations Motto "DIY-do-it-yourself". The cribs can be visited in various churches, shop windows, banks and gastronomic companies from December 1, 2024 to January 6, 2025.

The opening and the central element of the crib path takes place in the market church. A special crib was created here, which reflects the sensations of people with mental illnesses. This initiative is emphasized by the city as an important contribution to the community workshop. Rudolf Jelinek, the mayor of Essen, was positive about the long tradition of the crib path: "For over two decades, the Essen.Krippenland campaign has enriched the pre -Christmas event in our city." The city also includes sustainability to the event, which corresponds to the concept of the "green capital of Europe".

Along the tram line 109, there are other cribs to discover, which attracts the participants on a cultural journey through the city. In addition to the tour, there are numerous events, including guided tours, online courses on the history of the crèche and ecumenical Advent devices.
