Hamburg's Elbtower: A new landmark rises across the city!
Hamburg, Deutschland - In Hamburg, the fate of the Elbtower will soon decide. Becken Development GmbH has met a preliminary purchase with the insolvency administrator Torsten Martini. According to Martini, he was optimistic that the sale can be completed promptly, the dpa reported, referring to a message from the pools Holding and the Görg insolvency administrator. A detailed purchase contract will be set up shortly, and instead of a banks or insurance company as the main tenant, a natural history museum will be targeted by a hotel and another larger tenant. This construction project could produce Hamburg's first skyscraper by 2030 and is supposed to be a proud 245 meters high, which would make it the highest building in Hamburg, even higher than the DC Tower in Vienna, which is recorded at 220 meters.
The long way to sell
The Elbtower, which had a construction stop for over a year and thus became a counterpart of the insolvency problems of the Tyrolean company Signa, is in Hamburg Hafencity and has long been a symbol of the failed plans. The construction stopped when the construction company received no further payments from the project company. However, Martini had already announced about a month ago that there were positive negotiations with several interested parties from home and abroad. If the purchase contracts are signed in autumn 2024, the entire purchase could be completed by the end of the year, as the wikipedia reports.
pool is no unknown name in the Hanseatic city and has already implemented several important real estate projects. The company was recently mentioned for the successful sale of the shell of a department store in Vienna. However, the previous bankruptcy of Signa in Vienna and Hamburg could indicate a turn in the market that could include numerous properties in the possession of the kingdoms of Signa in the future.
