The winter weather has a firm grip on Germany after a mild weekly start. According to meteorologist Tanja Egerer from the German Weather Service (DWD), maximum values between 3 and 9 degrees are expected for Tuesday. The snow border drops to 500 to 700 meters, which results in wintry conditions in the mountains.

In the west of the country and on the coast, stormy gusts and even gusts of wind are forecast. The city of Cologne warns of a stay out of the open from noon to evening and has closed the Düsseldorf wildlife park from 1:00 p.m. for security reasons.
