St. Wendel, Deutschland - The Christmas market in St. Wendel is an absolute highlight! From December 6th to 15th, 2024, the pedestrian zone around the town hall and cathedral will be transformed into a winter wonderland. Over 160 festively decorated stands are waiting to be discovered by the visitors. There is not only handicrafts and delicious delicacies, but also a musical supporting program with domestic choirs and musicians who perfectly accompany the Christmas mood. The market was elected as the most popular Christmas market in West Germany in 2022 by readers of Falstaff magazine - a title that speaks for itself!

On the market, visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the Middle Ages. Krämer offer their goods while talented craftsmen show old techniques. If you want to become active yourself, you can try felting, weaving or even archery! A special highlight is the evening dedicated to the fire skills. An artist ensemble provides spectacular entertainment with light and fire art, while the night watchman pulls through the alleys with his halbera and ensures a mystical atmosphere.

For the small and large adventurers there is a snow -covered toboggan run and a nostalgic carousel. The living crib and an impressive Christmas pyramid with artistic carving figures attract everyone's attention. Mann -high nutcrackers and a “crib path” also exude Christmas magic and be amazed. The Christmas market is open from Monday to Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. If you arrive by train, you can reach the market in just five minutes on foot from St. Wendeler Bahnhof - a perfect place to enjoy the anticipation for the festival!
