From December 15, 2024, a new timetable from Deutsche Bahn comes into force, which brings numerous changes for travelers in Hesse and beyond. The additional international connections that make it possible to achieve many European capitals faster are particularly noteworthy. From December 16, there will be a direct ICE connection from Frankfurt to Paris every day, via Strasbourg. This increases the number of daily direct connections from Frankfurt to the French capital to seven. The connections between Frankfurt and Strasbourg will also be improved, with four instead of three direct trains per day. These innovations promise smooth travel without bypassing and fewer transfer times.
