Lindau-Insel, Deutschland - A touch of nostalgia and a festive mood awaits passengers on December 7th and 14th, when the historical special train "Stuttgart Rössle" controls the Christmas markets in Upper Swabia and on Lake Constance. With a charming flair of the 1950s, this train brings passengers to an unforgettable experience-and this to regular local transport prices!

The impressive diesel railcar, which shines in noble dark red and is equipped with comfortable upholstery armchairs, starts its journey at 10:18 a.m. in Stuttgart. The route leads via Ulm, Biberach, Aulendorf, Ravensburg, Friedrichshafen City and Langenargen before reaching the Lindau island at 2:02 p.m. After two pendulum trips between Lindau and Friedrichshafen, travelers can take the return trip to Stuttgart, which begins at 6:43 p.m. All timetables are already integrated into the electronic information systems, so that the planning is child's play.

Christmas markets and tickets

Thanks to the support of the state of Baden-Württemberg, which is responsible for the timetable design and financing of rail transport, passengers can travel with all regular local transport tickets, including the Germany ticket. At the stops of the special train, including Aulendorf, Ravensburg, Friedrichshafen, Langenargen and Lindau, Christmas markets will take place on December 7, which perfectly round off the festive atmosphere.
