Tyrol's companies set standards: Inclusion is very important!

In Tyrol, the seal of approval "We are inclusive" has been awarded for a decade now. In addition to the award of companies, this step is intended to help promote the professional inclusion of people with disabilities. Angelika Alp-Hoskowetz, head of the Tyrol Ministry of Social Affairs, emphasizes the overall social advantages of a barrier-free world of work: "It is not just about people with disabilities. We benefit as a society." This year, 21 companies received a re -certification, while 12 companies were able to accept the seal of approval for the first time in the form of an art object by the Tyrolean artist Karin Jamscheck, as reported.

The seal of approval is awarded every two years and applies for three years. Companies who want to obtain it must undergo the application process that includes a jury from relevant actors. This pursues the goal of promoting equal opportunities and motivating a wide variety of companies to hire people with disabilities. The Tyrol Economic Area thus shows engagement for inclusion and social partnership, which is also anchored in the measures of the Ministry of Social Affairs. The Ministry offers comprehensive support for companies in adapting their workplaces and creates opportunities for those affected, as in the information of the Overall, the seal of approval "We are inclusive" was already able to honor 131 companies in Tyrol who are working on creating an inclusive professional landscape. People with disabilities are promoted by a committed network of companies and social service providers who actively work for equal opportunities. The allocation of the seal of approval is not only an award, but also a commitment to the social responsibility of the companies.
