Bright winner: Facade prices for Erding and Dorfen award!
Recently, the festive awarding of the Facade Prize of the Erding district was awarded in the Lindenwirt restaurant, which was already in the 35th round. The event, carried out in cooperation with the district association for Heimatschutz and Denkmalpflege e.V., honored four outstanding construction projects, which bribed through their successful architecture, choice of material and special color design. The prize was initiated by the former district administrator and Minister of State Dr. Hans Zehetmair, who wanted to promote awareness of the sensitive use of structural changes in order to preserve the location and landscape. It was particularly important that the excellent buildings are both new and renovated, such as Merkur reported.
In the category "Refurbishment", the middle school on Lodererplatz received the prize for its exemplary modernization. The building planned by Grotz Architects combines sustainability with modern design and thus transforms the 70s school into a place of the future. The town hall Dorfen was honored for the public building, which blends harmoniously into the historical cityscape and is architecturally convincing. In the commercial category, the Sophienhospiz in Erding was awarded, which can not only improve shape and terrace through its semicircular form, but also serves as a sensitive place to retreat for residents. Finally, the old rectory Unterhofkirchen, a monument from the 18th century, received the award in the monument preservation category thanks to its successful renovation. District home nurse Sandra Angermaier praised the cultural identity, which is preserved by the preservation of this historic building, as Wochenanzeiger reported.
entrepreneurial excellence recognized
The award ceremony was linked to the importance of the preservation and new architecture. District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer emphasized that the awards should also encourage future builders to deal with the characteristic features of the Erdinger Land. It is important to preserve the aesthetic diversity of the region, which offers an appealing contrast to often uniform modern construction methods. The selection of the award winners fell into the hands of a jury of experts, which highlighted the central role of architecture in the everyday landscape. These awards stand not only for good architecture, but also for the commitment to the cultural preservation of the region and show how responsibility and creativity can go hand in hand.
