Smoke expert Annemarie Herzog receives Carinthian coat of arms!
The "Achaanta smoking factory" in Sittersdorf has received a significant award: the Carinthian national coat of arms may be managed by the manufactory in the future. This honor was handed over by Governor Peter Kaiser to the smoking expert and author Anne-Marie Herzog. Kaiser praised Herzog as an ambassador for Carinthia and emphasized her extensive knowledge of incense and plants. Duke himself would like to pass on her knowledge, inspired by her grandmother, to the next generation.
Herzog thanked her life partner Rolf Bickelhaupt, her family and the team of the "Achaanta smoking factory" and their numerous partners and customers for their support. The manufactory produces a wide range of different smokers that are sold to all Austrian federal states and to several European countries. Herzog also occurs regularly at congresses, trade fairs and events. Her book "The smoker. Use old knowledge today" is recognized as a standard work for smoking living rooms, houses and farms.

As on Noe.lfi.at , many people use native plants for various reasons: The cleaning, calming and soothing Atmospheric properties are particularly valued in the dark season. Fragrant smoke lifts the mood, while cleaning smoke not only clarifies thoughts, but also the air. Protective and disinfectant smoke is used in cold times to protect the house and farm.
The methods of smoking are diverse. Users are encouraged to try out different herbs and resins and create creative incense mixes. This is also reflected in Herzog’s philosophy to interpret the smoking practices in a modern way and at the same time to keep the traditions alive.
The "Achaman Smeck Manufaktur" sets important accents with its commitment to regional herbs and passing on knowledge to subsequent generations. Not only a piece of Carinthian culture is preserved, but also the opportunity to benefit from the positive effects of the smoking.
