Mitte, Berlin, Deutschland - The district office Mitte from Berlin calls on citizens to submit proposals for the District Medal 2024 . The nomination period ends on March 31, 2024. The medal is awarded to people who have recognized themselves through outstanding voluntary work in Berlin-Mitte.

A total of up to eight people can be awarded. For the nomination, the proposals must contain a detailed reason and information on the proposed person. The decision on the award winners is made by the district office in cooperation with the head of the district assembly. The ceremony of the district service medal takes place in 2025 and is carried out by the district mayor Stefanie Remlinger (Greens) and the district councilor Jelisaweta Kamm (Greens).
