Frauental relies in the green future: Children are becoming energy maker!

In the heart of Styria, the market town of Frauental an der Laßnitz relies on a future -oriented training project for its elementary school children: the energy project "Kids Meet Energy®". In the coming school year 2024/25, 28 children from two fourth classes will receive the award for the certified "energy base eggs". These initiatives are supported by close cooperation with Energy Styria to raise awareness of the young generations to environmentally conscious action. The students learn how to use energy efficiently in everyday life, for example by avoiding stand-by operation and saving electricity for household appliances.

The training program includes six teaching units in which the children playfully discover the various facets of energy efficiency through experiments. Enthusiasm and curiosity were noticeable in experimenting with special photovoltaic boards, in which the power of solar energy was even made audible. The ceremonial handover of the certificates and LED lamps to the new energy spine eggs was carried out by Mayor Bernd Hermann and other official representatives, which rewarded the outstanding cooperation of everyone involved.

In parallel to these initiatives, the e-Campus in Styria in Styria, the latest training and further education offers in the area of ​​Green Energy.
