quality seal for the Missio Kinderklinik

The Missio Kinderklinik in Bavaria has also been the first facility in its area to receive the “baby -friendly children's clinic” quality seal. This certificate is awarded by the WHO/UNICEF initiative in baby-friendly and distinguishes children's clinics that actively support the parent-child binding. In Germany, only five children's clinics are awarded this certificate, with the Missio Kinderklinik and its obstetrics now both enjoy this award.

Certification requires several years of preparation to meet strict requirements. The Missio children's clinic offers comprehensive care for early and newborns as well as for children and adolescents with acute and chronic diseases. In addition, special emphasis is placed on modern medical technology standards and specially trained specialist staff. Mothers have access to their babies at any time, even in the intensive care unit, and are housed in special "mother apartments" to enable a 24-hour rooming-in, such as Würzburger Leben .
