Straubing, Deutschland - The competition for the "Favorite Biergarten 2024" has set new standards! This year the Landshuter Hof in Straubing was elected as an absolute favorite with 150 votes. According to the Bavarian hotel and restaurant association Dehoga, the beer garden prevailed against numerous competitors and thus shows how much the guests appreciate the Bavarian beer garden culture. The fox garden with Fuchsstadl in Riedenburg followed in second place with 93 votes. A total of 2,336 votes were given by enthusiastic citizens and beer garden fans, who selected their favorite place for sociable hours, such as Idowa reported.

The award should highlight the most beautiful and most popular beer gardens in Bavaria. A total of 130 companies took part in this exciting competition, which was divided into three categories: under 200, under 500 and over 500 seats. In the category under 200, the castle garden in Murnau took first place with 214 votes, while two beer gardens - Hinterhöfle in Volkach and Kellerwirt in Haiming - received both 120 votes and shared second place. Other highlights were the beer garden at Lagoi in Buttenwiesen, which took first place in the category below 500 seats with 300 votes. The competition is seen as an excellent way to focus on the diversity and quality of the Bavarian beer garden landscape. The award ceremony will take place on April 28, 2025 as part of the "Gastrofrühling", where the winners are received by DEHOGA BAYERN President Angela Inselkammer.
