Conflict about government participation: Wallner criticizes Kickl's attitude!

In the middle of turbulent coalition negotiations between the FPÖ and the ÖVP, the pressure on both parties grows to find rapidly capable solutions. The Vorarlberg Governor Markus Wallner expressed sharp criticism of FPÖ boss Herbert Kickl, whose uncompromising behavior raises open questions in the conversations. "Kickl's lack of willingness to combine political camps and build trust has stalled the conversations," quotes ORF Vorarlberg Wallner. Kickl's demand is particularly problematic to no longer allow EU flags on public buildings, which clarifies its fundamental attitude.

Highly dramatic distribution of department in the dispute

KICKL and the FPÖ are on the Interior and Finance Ministry and the Chancellery, which further heats up the negotiations. New in the catalog of claims is a Ministry of Labor that is also intended to include integration. In return, the ÖVP requires control over seven ministries, including foreign policy and education. The ÖVP sees the need for clear European positioning and requires that the new plan also include a conviction of the Russian attack on Ukraine, as orf.at reports. This happens while the Federal President calls for a clear conclusion to the negotiations.

The bone -up apple in the conversations remains Kickl's adamant attitude, which, it seems, not only calls the ÖVP, but also critical voices within their own party. The former FPÖ mandate Andreas Mölzer and other ÖVP politicians point out that a stable and capable government is only possible if both sides are willing to make concessions. Wallner has already indicated that the negotiations fail could inevitably seem inevitable if bridges are not being beaten between the positions soon. This could head for new elections, which would be extremely worrying in the economic crisis.
