Central immigration authority: Kaiserslautern relies on immigration for skilled workers!
Kaiserslautern, Deutschland - On January 6, 2025, the city of Kaiserslautern presented the developments around the central immigration authority for immigration of skilled workers (ZAB) in Rhineland-Palatinate. Mayor Manfred Schulz sums up a successful year and gives an outlook on the plans for 2025. Last year, the ZAB 1,750 inquiries and completed 1,350 cases, which represents an increase of 131 cases compared to the previous year. A total of 2023 1,850 inquiries were processed for 1,219 cases. The ZAB is responsible for nationwide visa applications for employment of foreign workers and worked in around 7,000 visa procedures in 2024, which corresponds to 1,000 more than in the previous year.
