Christmas joy for Bottrop's hospice: bags and 200 euros donation!

Bottrop, Deutschland - On December 20, Reiner Friesz, the chairman of the Beckramsberg ceremonial garden association, and gardening consultant Mike Maurmann presented Christmas bags and a donation to the team of the Bottrop Hospices. This voluntary campaign aimed to bring joy to Christmas time and appreciate the work of the employees. A total of around 20 Christmas bags were handed over to the residents of the hospice and to the team there, as the Bottroper Zeitung reported.

In addition to the said Christmas bags, the allotment garden association handed over a donation of 200 euros. The board of directors plans to maintain more contact with the hospice in the future and invite employees to club festivals. Hospice manager Christoph Voegelin also offered to present the facility at the general meeting in March. Mike Maurmann, a trained grill master, announced that it would organize grill dates for the hospice team in the new year. Voegelin emphasized the importance of supporters for the best possible care of incurable ill and dying guests.

fundraising campaign by Trevi fountain

Another contribution to the Bottrop Hospiz came from Irini Hubert von der Domschänke in the city center. She set up a small fountain that became a place for coin donations, similar to the famous Trevi fountain in Rome. Regular guests began to throw coins in the fountain, which led to a fundraising campaign for the Bottrop Hospiz. A total of 1,070 euros could be transferred to the hospice, which was documented by hospizbottrop.de . Irini Hubert and the hospice team are pleased with the proceeds, and the fundraising campaign will continue in the winter months, even though the water is drained from the fountain.
