Volksbank Höxter keeps Christmas promises: 90,000 euros for needy!

Höxter, Deutschland - The Verbund-Volksbank OWL shows a strong commitment to the community during this Christmas season. With an impressive sum of 90,000 euros, the bank supports various voluntary initiatives and institutions in East Westphalia-Lippe and in the Altkreis Brilon. Ansgar Keträter, the bank's CEO, emphasizes that the rising prices and, above all, the high energy costs not only put a strain on the economy and consumers, but also put pressure on the volunteer organizations. Part of the donations will benefit hospice services that accompany people in their last phase of life.

Important support for tables and food distributions

An additional focus is on the tables in the Höxter district, which are supported with a donation of 7,000 euros. These facilities are essential because the number of people in need grows steadily, reinforced by inflation and needs of refugees, especially from Ukraine. Ina Kreimer, a board member of the OWL Association bank, emphasizes that the demand for food has increased in the past few weeks, while it is becoming increasingly difficult for helpers to provide sufficiently durable food.

The Verbund-Volksbank OWL has already donated 10,500 euros to the tables in Höxter, Steinheim, Warburg, Brakel, Bad Driburg and Beverungen this year and thus makes a significant contribution to supporting these important social institutions. The waiver of Christmas presents is used in favor of these important projects, underlines the bank's responsibility to promote voluntary work in the region. In total, the bank provides 80,000 euros this year to be a light in the darkness of the Christmas season for people in need. The Westfalen-leaf reported that further support of 10,000 euros goes to the WDR 2 campaign "Christmas Wunder".

These large-scale support measures testify to the solidarity of the Verbund-Volksbank OWL in difficult times and show how important it is to stand together and help people in emergencies. As the composite bank OWL reported, not only acute help, but also a sign of Hope and humanity set.
