Strike at Remondis: Lamed waste disposal in parts of Schleswig-Holstein!
In Schleswig-Holstein, the employees of the waste disposal company Remondis have resigned. The reason for the warning strike, which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, are ongoing tariff conflicts in the traffic industry. The ver.di Union calls for a wage increase of 8.5 percent and an additional payment of 2.25 euros per hour for the waste disposalors. Despite several rounds of negotiations, Remondis has not yet presented a counter offering, and new negotiations are planned for January, such as "https://www.ndr.de/nachrichten/schleswig-holstein/streik-bei--reMondis-teinte-werd-kell- Deaf. reported.
The effects can already be felt: the garbage cans are not emptied during the strike in the districts of Rendsburg-Eckernförde and Plön as well as in the state capital of Kiel. There is also special uncertainty for the bulky waste disposal because there are no catch -up dates. Affected citizens may put their garbage in plastic or paper bags to the next regular emptying. The responsible waste management companies announce further information, such as AWR reported.
The current strike measures show the urgency of the situation and the determination of the employees to demand reasonable wages. In the next few weeks, the development will continue to be observed critically to see whether the negotiations can lead to a solution.
