Pastor Anna Trapp: From the turn to innovative community work!
Anna Trapp, who grew up in Bad Wilsnack, Paderborn district, was elected as a pastor after the previous pastor went to Kyritz. Trapp, which grew up in a Catholic environment, saw no future in the Catholic Church as a child because there are no pastors there. After graduating from high school, she started studying history at the Free University of Berlin, but soon found that this did not meet. She also experienced an alienation from the church and then decided to study theology. From 2005 to 2013 she studied theology at the Humboldt University in Berlin and learned Hebrew during this time.
After her 27-month vicariate, in which she worked as a religious teacher for six months, she completed her vicariate on December 31, 2015. In 2016 she was sent to Bad Wilsnack in the posting service to relieve the pastor there. After her election to the pastor, she experienced a warm admission to the community and initiated various projects, including working with young scouts in the municipal garden. In addition, the municipality was involved in a major project for church renovation.
old bell and events in the Wunderblutkirche
A special project that affects the return of the old bell was initiated by Christian Richter. There is also a group called "Wine and Conversation", which is led by Andrea van Bezouwen. In April 2024 there was a rave party with techno music in the Wunderblood Church, which was professionally organized and offered a special experience for the guests. However, Anna Trapp emphasizes that the church is not open to all things and also has a clear attitude. No services were held during the Corona crisis, instead online broadcasts were offered.
In the repair of the Wunderblutkirche, in which a total of 4.2 million euros have been invested in the past 7 years, funds from various sources, including federal funds and church funds, have been used. An important event took place on Whit Monday, May 29, 2023, when the artist Leiko Ikemura presented church windows made of glass. On this occasion Christian Stäblein, Bishop of the Evangelical Church in Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Oberlausitz, held the laudation.
Leiko Ikemura, which was won for the design of the glass windows, has life stations in Japan, Spain, Switzerland and Germany. Their art focuses on the history of the place, including combustion and hostage. The glasswork was implemented by Derix Glass studio in Taunusstein, and the project received support from the East German Sparkassenstiftung and the Sparkasse Prignitz.
