Music visionary Peter Ablinger: A loss for the cultural scene!
The Austrian composer Peter Ablinger died. His life and work leave a significant influence in contemporary music. Many of his works were listed on large stages such as the Viennese festival weeks and the Vienna Music Festival. Ablinger was born in Scherzingen in 1952 and started his artistic career with a degree in the graphic in Linz.
in 1977 he turned to music, learned jazz piano in Graz and was shaped by well-known teachers such as Gösta Neuwirth and Roman Haubenstock-Ramati. In 1982 he moved to Berlin, where he worked as a teacher and freelance composer. During his career, he composed numerous chamber music works, electro -acoustic projects and installations and published a total of 40 recordings.
a striking work
Central to Ablinger's work is the complex "white / whitish" that analyzes the white noise. This complex work has been published in 36 parts since 2001 and shows its innovative approach to sound and music. Ablinger recognized the sounds of the environment as important musical elements, which fits seamlessly into the definition of contemporary music, as described by Karlheinz Stockhausen, for example. According to Podium present , contemporary music is the presentation of orderly in the period, which includes all acoustic events.
a legacy in contemporary music
Ablinger's influence extends beyond the limits of traditional music forms. The developments in the music of the 20th and 21st centuries, which are experimental and limitless of their nature, find special expression in his work. Aspects such as the opening towards new required sound forms as well as the inclusion of noises and everyday sounds are the key points of its musical philosophy. In contemporary music, this openness is particularly valued because it allows a variety of forms, including solo works, ensemble pieces, music theater and sound installations.
Although Peter Ablinger is no longer among us, his work remains an essential part of contemporary music and also inspires future generations of composers and interpreters. His inheritance will remain alive both in the concert halls and in the broader perception of art -creating music. The examination of sound and silence will continue to be shaped by works like his.
