Meinerzhagen honors best clubs: Heimatpreis shows strong community!

Meinerzhagen, Deutschland - In Meinerzhagen, the Heimatpreis 2024 was awarded to pay special services to the city. Mayor Jan Nesselrath opened the ceremony with an inspiring speech about the importance of home and the common values that make it up. The first place and prize money of 2,500 euros went to the Meinerzhagen Heimatverein, which has been active for the community for 65 years. Nesselrath praised the association as an important part of urban identity and emphasized its use in city tours and cultural events. celebrations for the 850th anniversary

In addition, a festive weekend for celebration of the 850 years of existence from Meinerzhagen. Mayor Nesselrath welcomed numerous guests, including Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst, who had traveled to the celebration. A varied program over three days included appearances of local music groups, family activities and a public viewing of the European Championship game of the German national team, which created a great atmosphere.
