Hinterstoder takes stock: 148 missions and the latest technology for 2024!

At the 120th General Assembly of the Hinterstoder fire brigade on April 12, 2025, a comprehensive balance sheet of 2024 was drawn. Commandant HBI Helmut Kneewasser opened the meeting and intended in particular the late comrade Johann Auhuber-Gösweiner. The community was described as strong and committed with a membership of 67, including 44 active members, 15 youth members and 8 reservists. Christian Hackl was resumed to the active stand, while Sophie and Kevin Pramberger have been strengthening the fire brigade youth since 2024.

The fire brigade recorded 148 missions last year, which were divided into 131 technical missions and 17 fire operations. The technical operations were largely due to a strong wasp year and numerous vehicle recoors on Höss-Bergstraße. The fire operations, on the other hand, mainly focused on deception alarms in accommodation companies. In total, the members of the fire brigade did 8,411 hours of voluntary work, whereby the focus in 2024 was on the modernization of the fleet and the equipment.

training and technical progress

A significant focus was also on training in the meeting. A total of 22 courses were carried out at different levels, including technical courses, tunnel and machine operations as well as further training in public relations and youth care. Successful performance tests, such as the FKAE silver in the active stand, were also recognized. The latest report of the CTIF report on the development and challenges in fire protection also provides the training situation in an international comparison ( Cif.org ). With regard to the technical equipment, the fire brigade presented a new large fire engine (GLF) and a future armory fire engine (RLF) for tunnel operations, which will be handed over in 2025. These new vehicles are equipped with portable pumps, roll containers, battery devices, cable winches and foaming systems. Mayor Klaus Aitzetmüller praised the fire service and emphasized the need for modern equipment, while district fire brigade commander OBR Helmut BERC and representatives of the neighboring weirs joined the praise.

camaraderie and emotional moments

The comradeship lived commented in many activities such as ice stock tournaments, visits to the beer tent, birthday parties and a Christmas party. A particularly emotional moment emerged when Johannes Pernkopf reported on his experiences during a fire in March 2025, in which he addressed the active support of his comrades.

in the neighboring community Clausthal-Zellerfeld, as documented on the website of the fire brigade Clausthal-Zellerfeld ( ff-clz.de ), the turns of the turn of storm and extreme weather conditions were shaped. A total of six alarms occurred, while technical assistance in the form of emergency door openings and the support of the emergency services were carried out regularly.

These collected operations and the monthly fire operations show the challenging work of the fire brigades, while internationally, fire statistics are also extensively analyzed to better understand developments and trends ( Cif.org ). The continuous evaluation of the fire risk and the operational readiness is crucial for future security in the communities.
