Hans Schäfer: A hiker with 1000 stories and gold medal!

Hans Schäfer was recently honored for his extraordinary performance of 1000 hikes. At a solemn event, the chairman Gunther Hilgert and Senioren manager Horst Wiesen presented the award to Schäfer, who, as the first member of the Obermoscheler local group of the Palatinate Forest Association (PWV), reached this milestone. Since February 16, 1976, Hans and Brigitte Schäfer have been involved in the local group and have enriched not only themselves, but also the entire association.

Gunther Hilgert described Hans Schäfer as the group's most eager hiker and praised the couple for their constant preparation of hiking tours and taking over the tour.
