Great reception of the trade: Austria best honored on April 10th!

Schloss Schönbrunn, Wien, Österreich - The trade association invites you to a great reception by Austrian trade on April 10, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., which will take place in the pharmacy wing of Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna. Over 400 guests are expected, including decision -makers: inside from the areas of trade, politics, media, industry and science. Rainer Will, Managing Director of the Trade Association, emphasizes how important personal exchange is today.

As part of the event, various topics are addressed, including US customs policy under Donald Trump, the global triumphal march of artificial intelligence and the opportunities for domestic trade. Sepp Schellhorn, State Secretary for Depereaucratization, will speak as a keynote speaker. Other speakers are Marcel Haraszti from Rewe International, Roman Koch by Heinemann, Karin Saey from the Dorotheum and Nicole Reitinger von Ikea.

First awarding of the Austrian FMCG Award

A special highlight of the evening will be the first award of the Austrian FMCG Award, which honors outstanding partnerships in retail. This award is awarded to companies that have proven themselves as a stable and trusting partner of trade, whereby the focus is not on individual products, but on corporate and brand engagement. Criteria are lived values, innovative strength and partnership -based cooperation with the trade. The jury consists of renowned representatives of the Austrian food and drugstore trade. The patronage of the award is located with Günter Thumser, Managing Director of the Brand Article Association.

The proceeds from the charity raffle to receive the Tafel Austria benefit, while the main sponsors are of essential importance for the event, including the Austrian Post. Last last-minute tickets are available for non-members at a price of EUR 104. The reception is also part of the trading colloquium, which will take place on the same day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The trading colloquium offers a platform for discussions about important questions of trade. Minister of Economics Martin Kocher will hold a keynote in which he in particular addresses European integration and relief for the work of work to combat personnel lack. The EU accession perspective of Ukraine and the need for a quick independence of Russian gas sources is also addressed. Results on the circular economy are also presented during the trading colloquium, whereby 61% of consumers wish to have a stronger sustainability engagement of dealers.
