This not only improves efficiency, but also saves waiting times on site, since from now on there is no more appointment in the driver's license office in Wetzlar or Herborn-Burg, such as the communicated.

It is absolutely necessary that the applicants carefully enter their data because errors can lead to delays. Anyone who misses the deadline must expect a warning allowance of ten euros. Nevertheless, the driver's license remains valid as long as the exchange process is documented. The new driver's license is valid for 15 years and is then automatically renewed by submitting a current passport photo.
The Lahn-Dill district appeals to all citizens to use the quiet time around the turn of the year to fill out their application online. District Administrator Carsten Braun explains: "With the online procedure you benefit from faster workmanship and make it easier for us to work at the same time."
