Fire station Perneck looks back: criticism of new training guidelines!
Feuerwache Perneck, Bad Ischl, Österreich - The fire station Perneck in Bad Ischl held its annual general assembly on March 22, 2025, in which the past year 2024 was comprehensively reflected. The most important topics included the missions to remove insects and to deal with severe weather damage in September. The statistics show that in 2024, among other things, a mobile flood protection system was purchased by the municipality and successfully stationed in Perneck. There were also alarms on two residential fires.
In order to ensure operational readiness, regular practice evenings for the fire brigade members were carried out. The commander of the fire brigade, BI Bernhard Müller, commented particularly critically about the new training guidelines. He sees the tightening as problematic because they are associated with a high amount of time and disproportionate administrative administration. Müller emphasizes that the previous training system was very effective in his opinion.
Fire brigade youth and financial report
The active fire brigade youth actively participated in exercises and events and thus shows great commitment. In his financial report, BM Stefan Hütter explained that the year was completed positively, with a financial plus. The largest expenditure item was the purchase of a trailer for mobile flood protection. Three new active members were also praised as part of the meeting: Matthias Gschwandtner, Xaver Schiendorfer and Matthias Wallner.
The annual general assembly ended with thanksgiving guests of honor for voluntary work and the good cooperation. BI Bernhard Müller thanked all comrades and helpers of the Pernecker Kellerfest for their efforts and announced important dates. The maypole position will take place on April 30, 2024 from 5:00 p.m.
civil-military cooperation
Another important aspect of fire work is civil-military cooperation. The fire brigade 2024, published by the German Fire Brigade Association, addresses this important cooperation and illustrates its relevance in today's global situation. President Karl-Heinz Banse emphasizes the importance of this cooperation for fire work in Germany in his introduction to the yearbook. The yearbook comprises 350 pages, documents processes at the federal level and contains valuable specialist recommendations.
A concrete example of such a collaboration took place on July 10, when civil-military training was carried out by FF Roding and the field weaving for reservist work Cham. At this event, the Rodinger fire brigade presented their equipment and simulated a traffic accident in which soldiers supported on site in saving a trapped person. Such training formats not only offer the possibility to use knowledge, but also a space for personal exchange among the volunteers.
Overall, it can be seen that both the local fire brigade in Perneck and civil-military cooperation in Germany are heavily dependent on the commitment and cooperation of volunteers in order to be able to act effectively and efficiently in the event of an alarm.
The fire brigade yearbook 2024 is available for interested parties at a price of 19.90 euros and offers a comprehensive overview of developments and operations by the fire brigades in Germany. Orders are possible at Feuerweitverband.de
