On November 15, 2024, Wolfgang Schwarz, the long -time managing director of the Kassel Clinic, died at the age of 72. Schwarz, who came from Grebenstein, was a formative figure in the northern Hessian healthcare system and was involved in various management positions for over 35 years, including as a board member of the Health Clinic Association. His deep connection to the region and its passion for his profession were unmistakable, as the clinic network confirmed. Despite offers from other institutions, he chose to remain loyal to his homeland and shaped the Kassel Clinic, especially during the repositioning of the house. According to Kassel's former mayor Georg Lewandowski, this work led him to sustainable success in the region.

versatile person and active club member

Wolfgang Schwarz was not only a committed clinic manager, but also an active member of the community. In addition to his clinic engagements, he was active in club work, including in the association for body and multiple disabled Hofgeismar as well as in the tennis and golf club. His wife described him as an active person who was always able to win new members for the Rotary Club Kassel-Hofgeismar and enjoyed organizing celebrations.
